Questions are Welcomed.

  • What is pelvic floor therapy?
Pelvic floor physical therapy is a specialized treatment that focuses on strengthening, relaxing, and rehabilitating the muscles of the pelvic floor to address issues such as incontinence, pelvic pain, and postpartum recovery.
  • Do you take insurance?
We do not accept insurance directly; however, we do provide a super bill that you can submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. We also accept HSA and FSA funds as payment. Please note, we are unable to accept or provide services to individuals with Medicare benefits, as this is not legally permitted.
  • Why are all appointments virtual?
This convenient, flexible option ensures women in all regions of Alaska can access essential pelvic health services, improving their ability to prioritize care without the challenges of distance, while also offering the comfort and privacy of home-based sessions.
  • What is the cost?
The cost of our cash-based pelvic floor physical therapy varies depending on the type of session. For more details on pricing, please see our services page.
  • Why would I want cash-based care?
Key benefits of cash-based therapy include more individualized attention, longer appointment times, and the flexibility to focus on your specific needs without insurance constraints. You’ll also avoid co-pays, deductibles, and treatment restrictions that can come with insurance, allowing for a more personalized and comprehensive approach to your care.
  • What can I expect during my first appointment?
During your virtual pelvic floor physical therapy consultation, you can expect a thorough discussion of your medical history, symptoms, and any specific concerns you may have. The therapist will ask detailed questions to better understand your condition and goals. They may guide you through a series of movements or exercises to assess your pelvic floor function and help identify any areas of tension, weakness, or discomfort. Based on this information, the therapist will provide tailored recommendations, exercises, and techniques to support your healing and wellness. You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about your care plan or next steps.
